May 4, 2023Summer
August 5, 2023May came and went as glorious sunshine welcomed us into the month of June - hence this very late blog post!
I had a wonderful elopement at our very own Dunluce Castle. I re-learnt the Jurassic park theme tune last month for one of my lovely brides at Titanic Hotel. Its been done up in such a nice Art Deco style.
I re-visited the gorgeous Killeavy Castle this month where my bride Laura got married. I think she got the nicest day of the year! What a lucky couple.
I was so pleased with Pilgrim harps this month who delivered with such speed an F string to me when mine went at the beginning of a service.
I was back in Drenagh Estate for Kirstys wedding. The grounds there are stunning and all the staff are so helpful.
I also made the fairly hefty jaunt to Castle Leslie Estate for Eileena and Cians wedding. It took place outside - Im always weary of playing outside because of wind and rain. Its not really that viable even with the best of Irish weather, but I got it over without mishap. I’ve really missed playing in the southern venues as I really feel we just don’t have the likes up north here. They do castles a lot better! I lived in the south fort over a decade so in many ways I know its wedding scene much better than I know those on my home turf.
I’m also delighted to have paired with Weddings online this month expanding ym business to Donegal and also Louth and Monaghan. The commuting will be hard but I’m really excited to be playing back in these old venues. I had a lovely corporate gig for Investec this month and I can confidently say they have the nicest staff ever!!
I've had my students sit their LCM exams - they're always making me proud.
If you’re like me you’re lapping up every month of this sunshine. Heaven knows we’ve been deprived of out the first half to his year. See you all next month xx
